The conversation for this couple is in five parts. Stand a fair distance away from the conversation, make a Quicksave, then pause and load it to continue. It's mapped to Select (PS3), Back (360), View (Xbox One) or the Touchpad (PS5). To speed this up, you can take advantage of Mass Effect 3's Quicksave feature.

The next part will play when you leave and return the area, or save and reload. This is actually a conversation with multiple parts, and if you hear them all, you'll unlock a Spectre Terminal item in the Spectre Office that can raise the EMS of one of your War Assets. To the left of Avina will be a Turian talking with his Asari bondmate as he's about to head off to defend Palaven, the Turian homeworld. There's an Avina terminal near the entrance of every area on the Citadel, so if you like fictional tourism, you'll be well-served! Talk to her and you'll learn more about the Citadel and how it's handling the influx of refugees. To your left you'll see a purple hologram of an Asari: this is a VI known as Avina, a rather basic digital construct that you can talk to in order to learn more about the Citadel and how the galaxy works, even if she can be rather politically correct. To start, head backwards towards the window where you can see the Normandy, then face towards the security checkpoint barriers. If you're playing the original 2012 release of Mass Effect 3, it'll also be affected by Galactic Readiness, but if you get a LOT of War Assets, you won't need to worry about it. The strength rating of a War Asset is called Effective Military Strength, or EMS: the EMS of all your War Assets pool together for a total rating. War Assets aren't static: they can be made stronger or weaker depending on your actions elsewhere. The Citadel is the earliest point in time you can start earning War Assets, which are the people, technologies and vessels they've acquired for the fight against the Reapers.
